Mark Chiu LL.B
Principal

Born and bred in Wellington, Mark has been practicing law for over 40-years. His clients regard him as knowledgeable, pragmatic and personable. He is highly regarded by the legal community as an expert on property, wills, trusts and general family matters.

Mark is a Rotarian and past member of the Wellington College Board of Trustees. He holds various directorships and positions on commercial and community boards, has close ties to the Chinese community and speaks Cantonese.

Mark is a fervent Hurricanes and All Blacks supporter.

John Cain LL.B
Consultant

John Cain practised as a property lawyer from July 1967 until his retirement in December 2006.

As a consultant to Chiu & Cain, John continues to stay in close contact with the firm and takes an active interest in legal areas of particular interest, notably commercial property, trusts and estates.

John is a loyal Phoenix supporter.

Jenny Berry
Legal Secretary

Jenny has over 20 years experience as a legal secretary in property, wills, trusts and litigation matters. She has been working with Mark for over 12 years.

Victoria (Tori) Tatam LL.B / BSc
Solicitor

Tori joined Chiu & Cain Law after graduating from Victoria University of Wellington with an LLB and BSc majoring in Biotechnology. She assists Mark in general practice on a range of legal matters.

Victoria enjoys spending time with friends, playing netball and tasting her way around Wellington.

Angel Luo
Trust Account Accountant

Angel is an experienced accountant having previously worked at a number of commercial and educational institutions before joining Chiu & Cain.  She is able to assist with a range of general accounting matters and is fluent in English and Mandarin and understands Cantonese.

Angel enjoys Wellington's diverse range of leisure activites and in particular discovering new and interesting places to eat.
